How To Setup New IP Address on CCTV

1. By default, Hikvision CCTV devices have the IP address 192.168.1.64 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Before changing the IP address, make sure your laptop can access or ping this IP. To do this, press Win + R to open the Run dialog box. type "Control" and OK

2. After that, go to "Network and Sharing Center" and click on Ethernet eg, Ethernet 6

Please make sure that you have been connected PC and the CCTV follow this picture

3. In the PC, Set IP address 192.168.1.10 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 following the picture below

4. To make sure that the PC and CCTV have communication, we use the ping command to test. press Win + R to open the Run dialog box. type 'CMD" and OK and follow the picture instruction

5. So now it is reachable, Open Browser such Google Chrome, Firefox to access http://192.168.1.64/ and follow the picture instruction

- put the password, eg Pa$$w0rd, Goldstar13579, admin12345

- input recovery information

6. Change the information as picture, please go Configuration

- Change the default Name of CCTV eg, CCR-Building -> Save

- Change date and time by choosing TimeZone, and choose NTP -> Save

- Change IP address 192.168.1.64 -> my case 10.233.220.133, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 10.233.220.1, DNS1: 8.8.8.8 -> Save

- Please note that the IP can be flexible, which is managed by IT, To know more contact IT admin

7. Once you save the settings, the CCTV will reboot. Please unplug and replug the power adapter to complete the reboot process.
After that, to ensure the IP address has changed to the new one, use the ping command to verify connectivity.

For example, if the original IP was 192.168.1.10 and you changed it to 10.233.220.3, you need to change your laptop's IP address to match the new network range.

To do this:

  • Press Win + R, type Control, and click OK.

  • Then follow the steps described in step (2) to change your IP address accordingly.

  • Refer to the picture for visual guidance.

8. Now your PC should be able to successfully ping the CCTV using the new IP address — which confirms that the configuration was successful. Setup is complete.
